Description

This Avocado Lime Ranch Dressing is creamy, zesty, and incredibly easy to make. Perfect for drizzling over salads, dipping fresh veggies, or spreading on sandwiches, this homemade dressing brings a fresh twist to classic ranch with avocado and lime.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt or sour cream
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ cup fresh cilantro or parsley (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 24 tablespoons buttermilk or water (to adjust consistency)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients

    • Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh. Mince the garlic and chop fresh herbs if using.

  2. Blend the Dressing

    • In a blender, combine all the ingredients except the buttermilk. Blend until smooth and creamy.

  3. Adjust the Consistency

    • Add buttermilk or water, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired thickness.

  4. Taste and Adjust

    • Add more lime juice for extra tang or a pinch of salt for a deeper flavor.

  5. Store and Serve

    • Transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 4 days.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add chopped jalapeño or a pinch of cayenne.
  • Swap cilantro for parsley or dill if preferred.
  • If making dairy-free, substitute Greek yogurt with coconut yogurt.
